Happy Birthday today to Madeline Drake and Emma Keoghan!


Today at 4, boys and girls bowlers will be at Lexington. The girls basketball game with Firelands is cancelled today. And also at 6, wrestlers will be at home with Clyde, Oak Harbor and Perkins!  


Drystan Barnett, Jacob Barnett, Bryson Harrington, Austin Kuluris, Aubree McMinn and Ryleigh Werner please report to the office to see Mr. Goodwin.


The Firelands Challenge team will practice TODAY from 2:50 - 4:10.


Any student who would like to join Math club please attend the meeting on Friday January 5th. If you can not be in attendance, please see Mrs. Wallrabenstein.


Any student that has a drawing or idea for the 2018 Math club t-shirt please turn that into Mrs. Wallrabenstein as well. We will be voting at our next meeting.


The Physical Education Department would like to congratulate two record breaking performances last year.   Sarah Bursley broke the Flex-Arm Hang Record with a time of 51.1.  While Jenna Damante broke her previous record for push-ups with 46. Congratulations ladies.  


Book Club will meeting has been rescheduled for after school on Wednesday January 10th in Room 203 to discuss pages through 59 of our current read: Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven.   Books are $11 and are available in the office. Snacks will be provided. Hope to see you there!

Attention Drama Club: The One Act prop and Sound crew will meet Thursday at 3:00 and the publicity crew will meet Friday at 3:00. Please be prompt.  Shirt orders for the one acts must be turned in by the end of the day Friday.  Order blanks are on the call board.


Attention Speech and Debate team members: Remember to sign up for rehearsal times in the Response Lounge this week. The last day to register for the Solon tournament on January 27th is this Friday. This is that last regular season tournament of the year. The bus for this Saturday's tournament at Toledo Whitmer will leave at 6:45 a.m. sharp regardless of outside temperature.


Over the holiday break the freshman boys had a win over St Paul 31-25.  Luke Bissell and Patrick McManus scored 6 points each for Edison while Jalen Kegarise tossed in 5, Andrew Neate and Gabe Schirg contributed with 4 each.  The Chargers dropped the second game against Huron by a score of 34-26.  Dylan O’Dell and Aiden Yoder led the team in scoring with 6 points apiece while Conrad Kluding, Patrick McManus and Andrew Neate each scored 4 points.  The boys are back in action tomorrow night at Port Clinton.


Both the girls and boys bowling team played Fremont Ross before Christmas and got big wins! The boys won by 400 pins and the girls won by 100.  High roller for the guys was Ryan Nealey with a 214 and a 214! High roller for the girls was Elisa Villa with a 171 and a 137.


The boys varsity basketball team improved to 7 and 2 on the season with 3 wins over winter break over Tiffin Calvert, St. Paul, and Huron. The break was highlighted by James Hill's 27 points at Norwalk St. Paul, Bryce Robert's 26 points v. Huron, and Daniel Lambert's 11 points vs. Calvert. The boys return to action tomorrow night at Port Clinton.


The varsity and junior varsity girls basketball teams both went 2 and 1 over Christmas break. The Lady Chargers defeated Huron and Port Clinton, but lost to Seneca East. In the victory over Huron, the varsity girls basketball team broke a school record by only allowing 16 points. The Lady Chargers are back in action Friday night at Willard at 6:00. Attention all football players.  There will be a important meeting Friday morning at 7:35 in the auditorium.  If you plan on being a part of the team next season you will need to attend this meeting.
