Happy Birthday to Madison Proy, Elizabeth Pruitt and Dakota Slagle!

 

At 3:00 today, girls’ golf will be at Oak Harbor, at 4:15 girls’ tennis will be at home with St. Mary’s, at 4:30, girls’ volleyball will be at home with Clyde. At 5, varsity boys’ soccer will be at home with vermilion and at 6:30, JV boys’ soccer will be at home.

 

The girls’ golf team improved their record to 6-0 in the conference by a 20 stroke win over Huron last night on Thunderbird Hills North course. Senior Zoe Grant and Sophomore Jordan Pruitt fired a pair of 40's and Senior Jacque Butler chipped in a 42 closely behind was new comer freshman Lauren Neher added a 46. The Lady Chargers are back on the links today on the road to face Oak Harbor. Keep BELIEVING

 

The girls’ tennis team beat Sandusky on Wednesday 4-1. Winning at singles were Mariah Medina, Jayla Medina and Emily Vogus. Winning at doubles was the team of Kassidy Burdue and Madisyn Frederick. Winning for the JV team was the doubles team of Avery Wolfe and Lindsey Kowalski. The team is home tonight for the first time on the new courts at Edison Park against St. Mary's.

 

The boys’ golf team improved their record to 2-3 in conference with a 171-181 win over rival Huron. Thomas Oeder was medalist for the day with a 39. Casey Fair chipped in with a 42. Ryan Nealey shot his best round of the year with a 43. Clayton Betts rounded out the scoring with a 47.

 

All 1st semester schedule changes must be done no later than tomorrow!

 

The athletic office is selling presale tickets for the first home football game vs. Firelands Friday night.  All presale tickets are $5.  All tickets at the gate are $6.

 

The Firelands Challenge Academic Team will practice TODAY at 2:50 in Mrs. Wallrabenstein's room.

 

Interested in competitive Speech and Debate and traveling around the State of Ohio? Then come to the informational meeting for the Speech & Debate Club today after school in the auditorium.  Competition dates, scripts, categories, events and rules will all be explained in this 20-30 minute meeting.  Also, current members who plan to run for an office must pick up their forms today at the meeting.

 

Thank you to the students who attended the Drama Club curtain raiser.  If you missed the meeting and are interested in joining drama club here are somethings you missed – please

1.      Complete the gold form and return it to the drama club box in the office as soon as possible.

 

2.      Complete an emergency medical form and return it to the drama club box in the office before the end of next week.

 

3.      Take the list of important dates for your own reference.

 

4.      Check the call board, listen to announcements and ask questions.

 

5.      Please sign up to help at the Melon Festival

Any cheerleader, football or basketball season should stop by Mrs. Davis’s room to pick up their bow.

 

Season Update for Boys Golf

At the Clyde Invite the boys finished 14th out of 24 teams with a score of 368. Thomas Oeder lead the way with an 87. Casey Fair had 90, Clayton Betts 93 and Ryan Nealey 97.

 

Edison vs Willard Edison lost to Willard 197 to 191. Thomas Oeder led the chargers with a 48.Casey Fair 49, Clayton Betts 50, and Aden Hall 52.

 

Edison finished 17th out of 20 at PC Invite with a score of 399. Casey Fair led the chargers with a 90, followed by Thomas Oeder with a 94. Clayton Betts had 98 and Aden Hall had 117.

 

Edison won its first SBC match with a 172 to 196 win over PC. Thomas Oeder had a 40 followed by Casey Fair's 42. Clayton Betts, and Noah Pulaski had 45's.

 

Edison boys lost to Vermilion 159 to 177. Thomas Oeder had 41 followed by Casey Fair's 44. Clayton Betts had 45. Ryan Nealey had 47.

 

Edison lost to Margaretta 166 to 174. Thomas Oeder shot 39. Casey Fair, Ryan Nealey and Clayton Betts shot 45's.

 

Edison won its second SBC match vs Huron with a score of 171 to 181. Thomas Oeder had a 39. Casey Fair followed with a 42. Ryan Nealey had his best round of the year with a 43. Clayton Betts had 47.
