October Student of the Month - Carlie Shover

     The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Carlie Shover is the October Student of the Month at Edison High School.

     Carlie has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Carlie’s school/community activities:  cross country (2nd Team All-SBC, varsity); track (varsity, Most-Improved Award recipient); basketball (varsity, Coach’s Award recipient); Interact Club (Communications Officer); National Honor Society (Vice-President); Spanish National Honor Society; Key Club; Math Club; Spanish Club; Health Professionals To Be Club member; Big Brothers/Big Sisters volunteer; peer tutor; math/writing lab tutor; EHS morning announcement crew member; Edison Elementary morning reading volunteer; church youth group member and Stampede of Dreams Therapy Stable volunteer.  Honors received – STEM competition regional qualifier, honor roll, EHS Student of the Quarter and served as a committee member for the McWane Scholarship. 

     Carlie plans to attend The Ohio State University in the fall of 2018 majoring in biology with a pre-medicine focus.  After graduating, Carlie plans to go to medical or physician’s assistant school.  Carlie is the daughter of Michael and Dawn Shover of Milan, Ohio.
