Morning Announcements - Tuesday, November 7, 2017


All students attending EHOVE sophomore visits today should report to the auditorium immediately following first period. You may want to bring a jacket or sweater since you will be walking outside between buildings.


Mrs. Griffin's  biology, integrated biology, and environmental science students need to bring their textbooks to class today.


There will be a Chargerette meeting Wednesday, November 8th right after school in room 204 for anyone interested in participating this year.


An Open House will be held on Thursday, November 9th at EHOVE Career Center from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  A free pasta dinner will be served.  Students and parents are invited to find out more about the career tech programs available at EHOVE.  


Congratulations on the Lady Chargers 15th place finish at the OHSAA Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Hebron. Pacing the Chargers was freshman Abbie Lesniak with a 27th place finish and lowering her freshman record by four seconds to 19 minutes and 16 seconds. Following Abby across the finish line with excellent performances were seniors Carlie Shover and Ashley Sneider. Rounding out the scoring for the team were Isabel Chasney and Grace Kromer who both ran season best times.

In the boys race Daniel Lambert placed 41st among 180 of the best Division 2 runners in the state.  This was an improvement of 37 places over last years 78th place. Way to go Daniel.


Attention Key Club and Interact Club Members:  Edison Elementary is looking for students to help with their COSI Day on Friday, November 17th. Students interested in volunteering should pick up field trip forms from the office. The first 15 students to return paperwork will get to go.


The meeting for senior members of National Honor Society is today after school in Miss Cull's room. Please bring ideas for our service project and let Miss Cull know if you cannot attend.


Attention all students 16 and older, Tomorrow Edison Student Council will be hosting our first blood drive of the school year in the gym from 8 until 1.  Please see Mrs. Davis or Molly to reserve your time today!


Congratulations to Austin Hancock, Bryan Johnston, and Nick Lombardi who were selected to play in the North Central District All Star Game on Sunday. The game will be played at Perkins HS at 3PM.


Congratulations to the Edison Speech and Debate team which placed third out of 22 competing teams at their 25th Annual Invitational on Saturday at Edison.  The following students won individual honors:

1st place in Policy Debate - Mallory Stiles and Anna James

2nd place in Policy Debate - Lexi Weyer and Chris Schaeffer

1st place in Bible Interpretation -Madeline Stiles

2nd place in Bible Interpretation - Alexis McConnell

4th place in Policy Debate - Jamie Anderson and Nathan Spence

6th place in Program of Oral Interpretation - Shianna Harper.


Students should sign up for rehearsal times in the Response Lounge and check their NFL membership status.
