Varsity/JV Girls Basketball vs. Oak Harbor

The varsity girls basketball team lost to Oak Harbor last night. Catie Houser sparked the team with 10 points all in the second half.

 

The junior varsity girls basketball team won in dramatic fashion last night defeating Oak Harbor 32-25 in overtime to finish the season 13-8. Lilli Schuster led all scorers with 17 points, while Sydney Schuster added 6 points and 4 rebounds. Emma Houser hauled down a team high 9 rebounds and Lauren Neher added 3 points. Katelyn Chenevey, Houser, and Jayla Medina rounded out the scoring all with 2 points. Congrats on a fine season ladies.

 

The Lady Charger varsity basketball team starts tournament play next Wednesday vs. New London at Lexington High School at 6:15. Hope to see you courtside

 

Boys Varsity/9th Basketball vs. Port Clinton/South Central

The boys varsity basketball team improved to 13 and 6 over the weekend with two home wins over Port Clinton and South Central. James Hill had a combined 40 points over the weekend, Bryce Roberts combined for 34 points, Gavin Schaeffer had 20 points, and Carson Ehrhardt had 16 points over the weekend. The Chargers return to action this weekend at Willard and home saturday for Senior night against Western Reserve.

 

The freshman boys’ basketball team improved their overall record to 11-6 and their conference record to 6-4 with an impressive 45-26 victory over Port Clinton.  Luke Bissell lead the Chargers by sinking four 3-point field goals in the first quarter and finishing the game topping all scorers with a season high 17 points.  Patrick McManus tossed in 11 points while Dylan O’Dell contributed with 7 tallies.  The boys next game is Friday at Willard.

 

Varsity/JV Girls Basketball vs. Willard

The varsity girls basketball team lost to Willard on Saturday. Aliyah Caporini and Alana Fidler scored 11 points each, while Ashley Sneider and Hannah Vitaz added 6 points each. Vitaz hauled down 7 rebounds and Fidler and Sneider grabbed 6 boards apiece along with 4 steals from Caporini.

 

The junior varsity girls lost to Willard on Saturday. Deana Blatnik and Lilli Schuster paced the attack with 8 points each, while Jayla Medina tossed in 7 points. Sydney Schuster and Blatnik both grabbed 7 rebounds, while Schuster dished out 4 assists.

 

The Lady Charger basketball teams play their final game of the regular season at Oak Harbor on Thursday. Tip-off for the junior varsity game is at 5:30. Hope to see you courtside.

 

Varsity Girls Basketball vs. St. Paul

The varsity girls basketball team used a balanced scoring attack last night to improve their record to 12 and 8 with a 41 to 31 victory over St. Paul. Alana Fidler led the attack with 12 points and 4 rebounds, while Hannah Vitaz chipped in with 10 points and 7 boards. Aliyah Caporini tossed in 9 points and recorded 8 rebounds and Molly Houser added 6 points.

 

The Lady Charger basketball teams play their final home game of the season Saturday when they play Willard at 1:00. Come out and support Sabrina, Catie, and Ashley as they make their final appearance in the orange and blue in the Thunderdome. Hope to see you courtside.
