Varsity Baseball vs. Margaretta/Shelby


The varsity baseball team completed four games over the weekend.  On Friday, the team beat Margaretta 3-1 and 7-4.  Clay Cooper and Richard Crooks both picked up wins on the mound.  Crooks had the big hit in game 2, belting a 3 run double with the bases loaded to put the team ahead 5-4.  Sam Stoll and Braden Ehrhardt each had RBI singles in game 1.


On Saturday, the team dropped a pair of 4-2 games to NOL leading Shelby.  Cody Scott, Nick Frederick, Sam Stoll, and Caden Cooper all pitched well, and Clay Cooper had 3 hits on the day.The team is at Vermilion today for a big game against SBC leading Sailors.


JV Baseball vs. Shelby


The JV baseball team lost 2 close games to Shelby by scores of 6-4 and 2-1.  Chase O'Dell struck out 11 batters in game 1.  Jadon Hanson had 2 hits and Joe Stoll doubled.  Hanson had 5 strikeouts on the mound in game 2, and Larry Kessler was 2 for 2 with a stolen base.


Boys Tennis - Port Clinton Doubles Tournament


The boys’ tennis team participated in the Port Clinton Doubles tournament on Friday and the doubles team of James Hill and Nick Lombardi finished second in the no. 1 doubles bracket. The team travels to Huron tonight.


Boys Track - Huron Invitational


The boys track team finished 2nd in the 10 team Huron Invite Saturday.  Finishing 1st place for the Chargers were: Bryce Ostheimer in the 110 and 300 hurdles. Bryce set a new meet and school record in the 300 hurdles with a time of 38.69. He also earned the MVP of the meet award.  Also finishing 1st were: the 4x800 relay team, the 4x400 relay team, and Gavin Schaeffer in the 800. Way to go guys!
