Girls Track - Edison Invitational

Congratulations to the girls track team for their second place finish at the 15 team Edison Invite this past weekend. The girls scored 86.5 points to secure the 2nd place trophy. Winning individual championships were Jayla Medina in the Long Jump, Isabel Chasney in the 800m run, and Abby Lesniak in the 3200m run. The girls run tomorrow at home vs. Oak Harbor.

 

Varsity/JV Boys Tennis vs. Oak Harbor

The tennis team beat Oak Harbor on Thursday 4-1. Winning at singles were James Hill and Bryan Johnston. Winning at doubles were the teams of Connor Goodwin/Nick Lombardi and Lincoln Meredith/Nick Shupe. Winning for the JV team were the doubles teams of Chris Schaeffer/Nathan Spence and Kaleb Yoder/Adam Frederick. The Varsity team will be participating in the Willard Invite on Saturday.

 

Varsity/JV Baseball vs. Port Clinton

The varsity baseball team beat Port Clinton 4-0.  Caden Cooper pitched a complete game 2 hitter with 6 strikeouts and no walks.  Caleb Bissell led the team with two hits.  Bissell, Austin Kuluris, and Richard Crooks each had and RBI.

 

The JV team improved their record to 5-1 with a 16-6 victory over Port Clinton.  Ethan Gessling had 4 hits and Justin Hosley and Casey Fair both had 3 hits.  Logan Bowen had 2 hits and drove in 4 runs.  Justin Hosley picked up the win on the mound.

 

Varsity/JV Softball vs. Port Clinton

The softball team dropped a 5-4 decision to PC on Wednesday. Leah Krul lead the Chargers by going 3-4 with 2 RBI. Alana Fidler one hopped the fence for an in the park homerun.  Lindsey Fortuna and Hannah Vitaz each contributed  a double with Grace Houser, Kayla Mancuso, Deana Blatnik and Morgan Scott added hits. The Lady Chargers take on Willard at home on Friday.

 

The JV Lady Chargers crushed Port Clinton on 4/11 with a final score of 23 to 11. On defense, Waldron led the charge from the mound. Pruitt and Shreve both made tagging plays at third. On offense, Barker led the team in runs scored with four. Other major contributors were Shreve with four RBIs, Waldon with three hits and Vitaz who scored every at bat.
