Girls Cross Country - Cloverleaf Invitational


The Charger cross country team raced well at the hot and competitive Todd Clark Invitational Saturday at Cloverleaf High School. The boys took home the championship trophy for the Green Division. Leading the boys was Daniel Lambert with an overall third place finish and first in the Green Division while other award winners were Brandon Romell, Tyler Coon, and Jon Hrivnak.  The Lady Chargers were runner-up in the Green Division. The top runner for the girls was freshman Abby Lesniak followed by award winners Ashley Sneider, and Carlie Shover.  Both boys and girls will be off next weekend and will return to action on October 7th in New London.


Boys Soccer vs. Riverdale


The boys’ varsity soccer team defeated Riverdale on Saturday 4-2. Nick Lombardi and Ian Janssen each with two goals. Nick has now tied the school record for most goals in a season with 19.


Girls Tennis - SBC Tournament


The girls’ tennis team participated in the SBC Tournament over the weekend. Winning the championship at First singles was Mariah Medina who also earned first team all-conference. Finishing second at second and third singles were Jayla Medina and Emily Vogus which earned both players second team all-conference. Finishing fourth at number two doubles was the team of Madisyn Frederick and Kassidy Burdue. Congratulations to all of the ladies involved for an excellent tournament.


Varsity/JV/9th Volleyball vs. Margaretta


The varsity volleyball team beat Margaretta in 5 sets by scores of 25-18, 24-26, 20-25, 25-22, and 17-15.  Jessica Stoll hammered 15 kills to lead the team at the net, followed by Hannah Vitaz with 9 kills, Kami Neuberger with 6 kills, and Lilli Schuster with 6 kills.  Neuberger also had 28 assists and 16 digs and Stoll had 16 digs.  Macy Stower and Natalie Lambert led the team with 24 and 23 digs, respectively.  Grace Houser served 22 points and had 17 assists and Brooke Houser served 10 points. The JV volleyball team beat Margaretta 25-9, 25-18.  Molly Houser led the team with 7 points. The freshmen volleyball team made it a clean sweep for the night by beating the Polar Bears in two games.  Deana Blatnik and Mallory Perkins led the team in scoring.
