Girls Soccer vs. Swanton (Sectional Championship)


The Edison Girls Soccer season came to end with a 4 to 0 lost to Swanton on Wednesday night in the second round of the Sectional Tournament. The Lady Chargers had a great season with Senior Leadership from Natalie White, Savanna Smith, Brooke Yates, Chelsea Jamison, and Natalie Coiffard. The Chargers would like to thank all their parents for all their support this year and look forward to great things in the future.


Varsity Volleyball vs. Bucyrus


The varsity volleyball team dropped a tough 5 set match with Bucyrus 20-25, 25-21, 16-25, 25-18, 11-15.  Jordyn Mitnik had 20 digs to lead the defense.  Kami Neuberger had 33 assists, while Jessica Stoll had 15 kills and 15 digs.  Macy Stower had 6 kills, 4 digs, and 2 aces, and Hannah Vitaz had 11 kill and 3 blocks, Alana Fidler had 5 kills, Natalie Lambert served 7 points to go with 7 digs, and Brooke Houser served 6 points.


Girls Soccer vs. Ottawa Hills (Sectional Semi-Final)


The Edison Girls Soccer team got a come from behind win over Ottawa Hills on Monday night with a 3 to 2 win in the first round of the Sectional Tournament. With 8 minutes to go in the match Savanna Smith scored her second goal of the game to give Edison its first lead of the game and the final score of the match. The other goal for the Chargers was scored by Holly Racioppi. The assists in the match came from Piper Nickoli, Emma Houser, and Smith. The Lady Chargers played with a lot of heart never giving up when falling behind early in the match. Up next for the Chargers is a second round away match up with Swanton on Wednesday night.


Boys Cross Country - SBC CHAMPIONS


Both the girls and boys cross country teams defended their Sandusky Bay Conference championships on Saturday by decisively winning the Bay Division of the SBC. Not only did both teams win but they also came home with two individual champions in freshman Abby Lesniak and sophomore Daniel Lambert.


The boys put all five scorers in the top 11 places. They were led by individual champion Daniel Lambert followed by first team all-conference runners Ty Coon in 3rd, Jon Hrivnak 4th and second team all-conference runners Gavin Schaeffer 8th and Brandon Romell 11th.  Next up for the Chargers is the district championships this Saturday in Galion.
