Girls Tennis vs. Fremont St. Joseph

The girls’ tennis team beat St. Joe on Tuesday 4-0. Winning at singles were Mariah Medina, Jayla Medina and Emily Vogus. Winning at doubles was the team of Madisyn Frederick and Kassidy Burdue. The team is now 11-3 and have set a new record with the most wins in a regular season!

 

Girls Soccer vs. Mansfield Sr.

The Edison Girls Varsity Soccer team got a big home win on Monday night over Mansfield Senior with a score of 7 to 1. The Lady Chargers scoring was led by Brooke Yates and Hanna Ceja both with two goals each. Holly Racioppi, Piper Nickoli, and Katie Nealey each added 1 goal apiece. All the scoring came from some great overall team play and assist led by Emma Houser, Racioppi, Nickoli, and Ceja. The Lady Tygers were held to just one score by some solid defense from Natalie White, Josie Soviak, Katelyn Chenevey, Alleigh Shreve, and Elizabeth Pruitt. The Girls Soccer team will be back in action on Thursday with an away game at Elyria Catholic.

 

Boys Golf - Edison Invitational

The Edison Boys golf team finished 13th out of 23 teams yesterday. Thomas Oeder led the Chargers with a 85, followed by Casey Fair's 86. Clayton Betts and Aden Hall Contributed 99's. Next up for boys is sectionals this Thursday.

 

Boys Cross Country - Cloverleaf Invitational

The Charger cross country team raced well at the hot and competitive Todd Clark Invitational Saturday at Cloverleaf High School. The boys took home the championship trophy for the Green Division. Leading the boys was Daniel Lambert with an overall third place finish and first in the Green Division while other award winners were Brandon Romell, Tyler Coon, and Jon Hrivnak.  The Lady Chargers were runner-up in the Green Division. The top runner for the girls was freshman Abby Lesniak followed by award winners Ashley Sneider, and Carlie Shover.  Both boys and girls will be off next weekend and will return to action on October 7th in New London.
