Varsity/JV Girls Basketball - Christmas Break

The varsity and junior varsity girls basketball teams both went 2 and 1 over Christmas break. The Lady Chargers defeated Huron and Port Clinton, but lost to Seneca East. In the victory over Huron, the varsity girls basketball team broke a school record by only allowing 16 points. The Lady Chargers are back in action Friday night at Willard at 6:00. Hope to see you courtside.

 

Varsity Boys and JV Girls Bowling vs. Fremont Ross

Both varsity bowling teams traveled to Fremont last night.  The boys showed no mercy in winning by over 200 pins.  High roller was Ryan Nealey with a 214 and a 214!  The varsity girls got a break last night - the JV bowled and they did a great job winning by over 100 pins.  Elisa Villa was the high roller with a 171 and a 137.  Marissa Lisy also bowled a 166 and a 138.  Nice job Charger bowlers!  

 

Freshmen Girls Basketball vs. Norwalk

The freshmen girls basketball team played stellar team defense last night and went on to defeat Norwalk 37 to 19. Danielle Blatnik, Deana Blatnik, Katelyn Chenevey, Jayla Medina, Lauren Neher, and Lilli Schuster all played big roles in improving their record to 3-0 on the season.

 

The Lady Chargers varsity and junior varsity teams return to action Friday night when they host Huron at 6:00. Hope to see you courtside.

 

Varsity/JV Boys Basketball vs. Vermilion/St. Mary's

The boys varsity basketball split in action over this past weekend. The boys lost at Vermilion Friday, and were paced by James Hill, Bryce Roberts, and Brandon Romell. The boys beat St. Mary's Saturday night and were led in scoring by Bryce Roberts who scored 16 points, James Hill who scored 13 points, Larry Kessler who scored 9 points, and Brandon Tice whose scored 8 points. The boys return to action this Thursday night at home against Tiffin Calvert.

 

The JV Boys Basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend.  Friday night they traveled to Vermilion to take on a tough JV basketball team and in light of a tremendous second half effort came up short 45-31. On Saturday night they were on the road again at St. Mary's and rebounded after a loss very well and won 50-31.  Caleb Bissell lead all scores with 14 points while Drew Sneider added 12.  JV record sits at 3-3 as they look to take on the Tiffin Calvert Senecas at home on Thursday.
