Varsity/JV Girls Basketball vs. Western Reserve


The varsity girls basketball team put up a valiant effort last night before falling to Western Reserve last night in the Thunderdome. Aliyah Caporini and Hannah Vitaz each scored 11 points, while Vitaz hauled down 8 rebounds and blocked 5 shots and Caporini grabbed 5 boards. Alana Fidler dished out 4 assists. The junior varsity lost to Western Reserve last night.


The Lady Charger basketball teams are back in action Saturday afternoon at Huron at 1:00. Hope to see you courtside.


Varsity Boys and Girls Bowling - Port Clinton Tournament


The Charger bowlers were at the Port Clinton tournament on Saturday.  Over all the boys took 8th place.  Kevin McCloskey took 5th in the tournament by rolling a 234, a 231 and a 161.  For the girls, took were 4th over all out of 21 teams. Kaylee Harris took top honors being number 1 in the tournament.  Kaylee bowled a 181, a 231 and a 161.  Lily Shover finished 5th overall rolling a 213, 160 and a 170.  Great job Edison Bowlers!


Varsity/JV/9th Boys Basketball vs. Vermilion


The boys varsity basketball team lost another tough game to conference leading Vermilion this past Friday with a score of 59-53. The boys were led in scoring by Bryce Roberts, who scored 17 points, James Hill, who scored 15 points, and Gavin Schaeffer, who scored 12 points. The boys will return to action this Friday at Bellevue.


Friday night the JV boys basketball team took on the Vermilion Sailors at the Thunderdome.  After an extremely hard fought game of several lead changes, the Chargers were unable to outlast the Sailor Shooting in the second half.  Leading the way for the Chargers was Seth Thompson with 10 points.  The Chargers play Friday versus Bellevue on the road.


The freshman boys basketball team lost to Vermilion Friday night 27 to 14  The freshman play at  Bellevue Tuesday night, tip-off is at 5:30.


Varsity/JV Girls Basketball vs. Vermilion


The varsity girls basketball team defeated Vermilion on Saturday 41 to 24. Alana Fidler paced the attack with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Hannah Vitaz added 10 points and 9 boards. Molly Houser contributed 6 points and 4 caroms and Ashley Sneider tossed in 5 points. Aliyah Caporini and Mariah Medina both hauled down 5 rebounds.


The junior varsity girls basketball team defeated Vermilion 34 to 21. Jayla Medina led all scorers with 11 points and added 5 steals while Emma Houser scored 9 points. Katie Nealey hauled down a game high 13 rebounds and Lilli Schuster contributed 6 points and 6 steals.


The Lady Charger basketball teams are back in action tomorrow night when they host Western Reserve at 6:00 in the Coaches vs. Cancer game. Hope to see you courtside.
