Varsity Wrestling - Division III State Duals

Congratulations to the Charger Wrestling Team for advancing to the Division III State Duals Regional Semi-finals.  The Chargers defeated St. Mary’s 58-19 with wins coming from Jakey Neer, Ray Adams, Dylan Burns, Griffin Soviak, Brady Barnett, Alex Neuberger, Dalton Burns, John Mason Neer, Joey Kasper, and Hunter Fultz.  The Chargers will face Ashland Crestview next Wednesday at 5:00.

 

Freshman Boys Basketball vs. Bellevue

The freshman boys’ basketball team dropped a non-conference game to Bellevue last night by a score of 32-22.  Aden Hall was high scorer for Edison with 11 points and Seth Kromer pitched in 5 tallies.  The boys are back in action Friday night at Clyde.

 

Varsity/JV/9th Girls Basketball vs. Clyde

The varsity girls’ basketball team outscored Clyde 19 to 10 in the 3rd quarter but couldn't overcome a sluggish first half in losing to the league leading Fliers 55 to 42. Hannah Vitaz paced the attack with 13 points and 6 rebounds, while Kelsey Schuster added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Jillian Danda and Madison Moyer each dished out 5 assists.

The junior varsity girls lost to Clyde last night 41 to 28. Sydney Schuster tossed in 8 points and hauled down 9 rebounds, while Molly Houser, Autumn Ortiz, and Brooke Yates all scored 6 points each.

The freshman girls defeated Clyde last night 30 to 10. Emma Houser, Annabella Klima, and Kaitlin Nealey all scored 8 points each, while Piper Nickoli and Haley Brown added 4 and 2 points respectively.The freshman team returns to action Thursday at Old Fort at 5:00, while the varsity team will travel to Huron Saturday at 1:00. Hope to see you court side.

 

Varsity/Freshman Boys Basketball vs. Vermilion

The freshman boys’ basketball team defeated Vermilion Friday night 37-31.  Aden Hall was the high scorer for Edison with 11 points while Sam Lopez contributed with 10.  The freshman play at Bellevue Tuesday night, tip-off is at 5:30. The Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated state ranked Vermilion this past Friday 73-68. The boys were led by Bryce Ostheimer's 29 points, James Hill's 15 points, Gavin Schaeffer's 13 points, Bryce Roberts 9 points, and Branden Ehrhardt's 6 points. The boys and coaches would like to thank the students and fans that made it a great environment this past Friday! The boys return to action this Friday at Clyde.
