Boys Track - Oak Harbor Invitational

The boys track team finished 3rd at the very competitive Oak Harbor Invite Friday night.  The highlight of the night was Joe Eskra’s school record pole vault of 14 feet 6 inches.  Giving him not only a school record but first place in the meet.  There were a few other personal records set Friday night.  The 4x100 relay of Eskra, Ian Janssen, Logan Collins and Sam Stoll, 4x200 relay of Eskra, Kolt Wikel, Carson Ehrhardt, and Brady Patterson, Sam Stoll in the 110 and 300 hurdles, the 4x800 relay of Ty Coon, Daniel Lambert, Jon Hrivnak and Gavin Schaeffer, Dylan O’Dell tied his personal PR in the high jump with another 6 foot effort.  Way to go guys and good luck at the SBC meet this week. 

 

Varsity Tennis vs. Willard

The boys tennis team played Willard twice Wednesday night and won both matches 5-0. The winning teams on Wednesday consisted of James Hill, Bryan Johnston, Adam Frederick, Nick Lombardi, Connor Goodwin, Nick Shupe and Lincoln Meredith. The team improves to 11-0 in the conference.

 

Varsity/JV Baseball vs. Willard/Hopewell-Loudon

The varsity baseball team improved to 10-6 and 9-2 in the SBC with a 19-0 victory against Willard.  Bryce Roberts, Cody Scott, and Caleb Bissell all had 3 hits.  Roberts hit a grand slam and had 4 RBI's, Scott hit 2 doubles, and Bissell had 4 RBI's.  Cooper McIntyre had 2 hits, including a double, and 4 RBI's.  Roberts and Richard Crooks combined to strike out 11 batters in 5 innings.

 

The JV baseball team improved their record to 9 and 6 with a 15 to 10 win over Hopewell Loudon.  Ethan Gessling led the team with 3 hits and 3 RBI’s while Luke Bissell, Aden Hall and Casey Fair all drove in 2 runs apiece.  Fair picked up the win on the mound striking out 3 batters and Hunter Penwell came in and picked up the save in a great all around team effort!

 

JV Softball vs. Willard

In an extra inning the JV Lady Chargers lost a tough battle to the Willard Crimson Flashes with a final score of 12 to 9. Ries and Waldron led the defense from the mound striking out nine batters. Ries also led the offense with three hits and one RBI. Neher and Barker assisted with two runs a piece. Linden and Pruitt both made substantial plays in the 3rd inning. The ladies last game will be played at home on May 9th at 4:45pm.
