Freshman Boys Basketball vs. Huron/Firelands


Thursday night the freshman boys’ basketball team lost to rival Huron by a score of 45-31.  Seth Thompson led the Chargers with 14 points and Connor Romell scored 7 points.  Saturday night in the Thunder Dome the freshman lost a hard fought battle to Firelands 36-34.  Drew Sneider was high scorer for Edison with 13 while Connor Romell and Sam Lopez contributed with 8 and 7 points respectively.  The boys’ next game is at home on Friday.


Varsity/JV Girls Basketball vs. Port Clinton


The varsity girls’ basketball team used a 17 to 3 scoring run in the 2nd quarter to defeat Port Clinton on Friday night 50 to 36. Kelsey Schuster led all scorers with 18 points; Alana Fidler 8 points and 7 rebounds; Jessica Stoll 8 points and 6 rebounds; Hannah Vitaz hauled down 8 rebounds; Madison Moyer and Jillian Danda dished out 6 and 4 assists respectively.


The junior varsity girls defeated Port Clinton 45 to 23. Brooke Yates tossed in 12 points, while Carlie Shover contributed 11 points. Sabrina Downey, Chelsea Jamison, and Sydney Schuster all tallied 6 points each and Emma Houser added 4 points. The Lady Charger basketball teams are back in action tomorrow night when they host Norwalk St. Paul. Hope to see you court side.


Varsity Wrestling - Division III State Duals


Congratulations to the Charger Wrestling team for advancing to the Division III State Dual Championships. The Chargers downed Crestview 59-15 and Smithville 41-27 to advance to Columbus on February 12th.


Boys Varsity/JV Basketball vs. Huron


The Boys Varsity Basketball team lost a thrilling double-overtime game to Huron last night. The boys were led in scoring by Bryce Ostheimer, who scored 18 points, Bryce Roberts added 12 points, James Hill added 11 points, Nick Frederick and Braden Ehrhardt both chipped in 6 points. 


Last night the Boys JV basketball team traveled to Huron to take on the rival Tigers.  A tough night shooting and rebounding lead to a 49-34 loss.  Carson Ehrhardt led the Chargers with 10 points while Jacobee Kessler and Brandon Tice chipped in 8 points each.  The JV is now 10-4 and will play Firelands on Saturday at home.
