Varsity/JV Boys and Girls Bowling vs. Willard


The Charger bowling team took on Willard last night.  The varsity boys’ took care of business quickly.  High roller was Bryan Johnson with a 225 and a 185.  For the girls, they had a tough battle taking a close loss by only 58 pins.  High roller for girls was Kaylee Harris with a 161 and a 140.  Both JV teams were winners!  


Varsity/JV Girls Basketball vs. Fremont St. Joseph


The varsity girls basketball team lost to an undefeated Fremont St. Joe team on the road last night 39 to 29. Mariah Medina led the attack with 10 points, while Hannah Vitaz contributed 7 points and 10 rebounds and Alana Fidler added 6 points and 6 rebounds.


The junior varsity girls basketball team defeated Fremont St. Joe last night 34 to 22. Deana Blatnik led all scorers with 12 points and added 9 rebounds, while Lilli Schuster added 8 points and 4 steals and Danielle Blatnik and Emma Houser each tallied 4 points. Katelyn Chenevey also hauled down 9 rebounds.


The Lady Charger basketball teams are back in action Saturday when they host Tiffin Calvert at 1:00. Hope to see you courtside.


Varsity/JV Boys and Girls Bowling - Huron Tournament


The boys and girls bowling teams were at the Huron tournament this weekend.  The Varsity boys advanced to the second round.  The final 8 teams were tough, and our chargers could not advance and finished 8th.  The varsity girls team finished in 2nd place.  They lost to a veteran Perkins team in a best out of 3 games.  A big shout out to those Charger girls who bowled 5 hours on Saturday!  Great job Carmen Thomas, Madison Ostheimer, Lily Shover, Kaylee Harris, and Kaylie Ries!  Both boys and girls JV teams bowled well, but did not advance!


Varsity/JV/9th Boys Basketball vs. Margaretta


The boys varsity basketball team dropped a tough game to rival Margaretta this past Friday in overtime. The boys were led in scoring by James Hill, Gavin Schaeffer, and Bryce Roberts. The boys will return to action this Friday at Vermilion.  


Friday night the JV boys basketball team dropped a hard fought game to the Margaretta Polar Bears 42-24.  Leading the way for the Chargers was Seth Thompson with 9 points while Sam Lopez added 5.  The Chargers are now 2-2 and play Friday against Vermilion.


The Freshman boys’ basketball team improved their record to 4-0 Friday night by defeating Margaretta 32-23.  Edison overcame a 9-3 deficit in the 1st quarter and then the Chargers sealed the victory by playing impressive team defense holding the Bears scoreless in the 4th quarter.  Lincoln Meredith had a season high 14 points while Dylan O’Dell scored 6 points and Grant Ott and Luke Bissell contributed with 5 and 4 points respectively.  The boys next game is Friday at Vermilion.
