Boys Track - Regionals

The boys track team competed at the regional meet last night. Congratulations go out to Joe Eskra! Joe finished 2nd in the pole vault with a personal best and new school record of 13'10". This qualifies him for the state meet in Columbus next week. Way to go Joe!

 

Qualifying for the finals on Saturday are: Bryce Ostheimer in the 110 and 300 hurdles, and the 4x400 relay of Gavin Schaeffer, Brandon Romell, Alex Neuberger and Bryce Ostheimer.  Way to go guys!  Also competing Saturday are Gavin Schaeffer in the 800 and Logan Collins in the shot put.  Good luck guys!

 

Baseball - SBC and District 9 Honors

The varsity baseball team was well represented on this years’ SBC and District 9 teams.  First team SBC selections were Clay Cooper at pitcher, Nick Frederick at infield, and Braden Ehrhardt in the outfield.  Second team selections were Sam Stoll at catcher, Bryce Roberts as an infielder, and Dalton Burns in the outfield.  Cam Perdue, Zack Vitaz, Cody Scott, and Thomas Oeder were all Honorable Mention selections.

 

In the District 9 voting, Clay Cooper and Sam Stoll both made the first team, Nick Frederick was voted to the second team, while Braden Ehrhardt and Bryce Roberts both received Honorable Mention in the district.

 

Clay Cooper will play in the district all-star game on May 27th.  Clay was also voted as a Northwest District representative to the Mizuno All-Star series at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus on June 8th and 9th. 

 

Boys Track - District Runner-Up

The boys’ track team finished as the runner-up at the district meet in Oak Harbor on Friday night. Bryce Ostheimer was district champion in the 110 and 300 hurdles.  Gavin Schaeffer finished 3rd in the 800, Ty Coon finished 3rd in the 3200, Logan Collins qualified in both the discus and the shot put, Joe Eskra finished 2nd in the pole vault.  The 4x100, 4x400 and 4x800 relays also qualified for the regional meet that will be held in Lexington on Thursday afternoon.  Way to go guys!!

 

Varsity Baseball vs. Clear Fork (District Semi-Final)

The varsity baseball team lost their district semifinal game to Clear Fork.  Dalton Burns had 3 hits, Clay Cooper and Bryce Roberts doubled, and Cody Scott and Thomas Oeder both hit singles.
