Boys Cross Country - State

In the boys race Daniel Lambert placed 41st among 180 of the best Division 2 runners in the state.  This was an improvement of 37 places over last years 78th place. Way to go Daniel.

 

Girls Cross Country - State

Congratulations on the Lady Chargers 15th place finish at the OHSAA Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Hebron. Pacing the Chargers was freshman Abbie Lesniak with a 27th place finish and lowering her freshman record by four seconds to 19 minutes and 16 seconds. Following Abby across the finish line with excellent performances were seniors Carlie Shover and Ashley Sneider. Rounding out the scoring for the team were Isabel Chasney and Grace Kromer who both ran season best times.

 

Boys Cross Country - Regionals

Sophomore Daniel Lambert qualified for his second state championship with an eighth place overall finish though the boys team missed qualifying as a team by one place, as they finish fourth overall in one of the toughest regions in the state. Finishing after Danial was Ty Coon in 20th place and a tight pack of Gavin Schaeffer, Brandon Romell and Jon Hrivnak all finishing within four seconds of each other. Congratulations boys on an excellent season.

Daniel will run Saturday at 2:15 p.m.

 

Girls Cross Country - Regionals

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for qualifying to the OHSAA State cross country championships this next weekend at National Trail Raceway in Hebron.  The girls placed third with freshman Abby Lesniak leading the way finishing 8th place overall and 7th place in the team race. Following Abby across the finish line was Carlie Shover who ran almost a minute faster than last week with an overall 17th place finish. Running a strong third position for the team was Ashley Sneider who will be running in her third state championship race. Following Ashley to the line was Isabel Chasney with a time of 21:14 her fastest of the year. Grace Kromer finished the scoring with a season personal record time and a 48th place in the team race. Also running exceptional races and displacing other teams runners were Catie Houser and Aliyah Caporini.

The girls will run Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
