Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Willard/Western Reserve

The boys varsity basketball improved to 15-6 with two wins this weekend. Friday the boys won at Willard, led by James Hill who scored 26 points. Saturday the boys won on senior night with every senior scoring in their last game at home!

 

Congratulations goes out to James Hill. This weekend James broke the 1,000 point mark, and set the school career scoring record to join his career rebounding record. Congrats James, and the team for helping him reach such a great career milestone!!

 

Freshman Boys Basketball vs. Willard

The freshman boys’ basketball team defeated the Willard Flashes 30-23 Friday night for their 12th win of the season.  Lincoln Meredith led Edison in scoring with 10 points and Luke Bissell tossed in 9 points while Patrick McManus contributed with 5 tallies.  The freshman will play their last game of the season Friday at Oak Harbor.

 

Boys Varsity/9th Basketball vs. Port Clinton/South Central

The boys varsity basketball team improved to 13 and 6 over the weekend with two home wins over Port Clinton and South Central. James Hill had a combined 40 points over the weekend, Bryce Roberts combined for 34 points, Gavin Schaeffer had 20 points, and Carson Ehrhardt had 16 points over the weekend. The Chargers return to action this weekend at Willard and home saturday for Senior night against Western Reserve.

 

The freshman boys’ basketball team improved their overall record to 11-6 and their conference record to 6-4 with an impressive 45-26 victory over Port Clinton.  Luke Bissell lead the Chargers by sinking four 3-point field goals in the first quarter and finishing the game topping all scorers with a season high 17 points.  Patrick McManus tossed in 11 points while Dylan O’Dell contributed with 7 tallies.  The boys next game is Friday at Willard.

 

Varsity/JV/9th Basketball vs. Oak Harbor

The boys varsity basketball team won Saturday night against Oak Harbor with a score of 44 to 43. Bryce Roberts made the go ahead free throw with 4 seconds remaining, and Gavin Schaeffer's steal sealed the victory. The boys were led by Bryce Roberts and James Hill, who both had 14 points and Carson Ehrhardt, who added 8 points in addition to a great defensive effort.

 

The JV boys basketball lost a hard fought game to Oak Harbor Saturday night with a score of 54-47.  The Chargers were led in scoring by Seth Thompson with 17 points.  JV boys play PC and South Central this weekend at home.

 

The freshman boys’ basketball team improved their record to 10-6 overall and 5-4 in the conference by beating Huron Thursday 36-33 and defeating Oak Harbor on Saturday by a score of 34-29.  Patrick McManus lead all Scorers against Huron with 13 while Grant Ott put up 10 points.  Dylan O’Dell led all scorers against Oak Harbor with 16 points and was a perfect 10 of 10 from the foul line.  The boys next game is at home on Friday against Port Clinton.
