Happy Birthday Gabe Schirg!

 

Today at 4:15, boys’ tennis will be at home with St. Joseph.

 

At 4:45, Jv baseball and JV softball will be at Oak Harbor for their game and also at 4:45 varsity softball and baseball will be at home with Oak Harbor for their game.

 

Congratulations to the girls track team for their second place finish at the 15 team Edison Invite this past weekend. The girls scored 86.5 points to secure the 2nd place trophy. Winning individual championships were Jayla Medina in the Long Jump, Isabel Chasney in the 800m run, and Abby Lesniak in the 3200m run. The girls run tomorrow at home vs. Oak Harbor.

 

The boys track team was crowned champion of the 15 team field at the Edison Invitational on Saturday.  Placing 1st for the Chargers were Sam Stoll in the 110 hurdles, Ian Janssen in the long jump.  The 4x100 relay team of Joe Eskra, Kolt Wikel, Logan Collins and Sam Stoll.  Placing 2nd were:  the 4x800 relay of Gavin Schaeffer, Ty Coon, Daniel Lambert, and Brandon Romell.  Logan Collins in the Discus, Sam Stoll in the 300 hurdles and the 4X400 relay of Schaeffer, Romell, Brady Patterson and Carson Ehrhardt.  Congratulations Guys!!

  

The Lady Chargers Softball team dropped a 7-6 contest to Willard. Lindsey Fortuna and Kayla Mancuso both went 2-4. Morgan Scott hit a single and scored 2 runs while Grace Houser had a 2 RBI single to tie the game. Hannah Vitaz hit a double in the loss.

  

The JV Chargers lost a close game to the Willard Flashes, with a final score of 6 to 5 Willard on 4/13. On offense Perkins, Ries, and Horchler led the team with two hits a piece. Ries dominated from the mound with 5 strikeouts and allowing only 6 hits. The ladies battled on defense, making some stellar plays.

 

Graduating seniors are reminded to turn in your graduation permission slip in the office by this Friday, April 20th.  Graduation information was mailed to your parents back on March 13th including the graduation permission slip.  You must turn in the signed permission slip in order to participate in our graduation ceremony.

 

Graduating seniors are also reminded that all fees must be paid in full in order to participate in our graduation ceremony. Payment must be made in cash, money order or online at www.k12paymentcenter.com

 

There will be a junior class officer meeting tomorrow morning before school at 7:20. Please be prompt.

 

Freshmen who have not turned in their chocolate money - we need it now.  Please turn it in ASAP to Mrs. Traut!

 

Do you have a teacher who has really inspired you - or made a difference in your life.  Now’s the time to let them know what an outstanding teacher they are!  The Milan Rotary Club is now accepting nomination for the Gold Apple Award.  Nomination forms are located in the library, write a brief paragraph about what it was that made a difference.  Entries can be submitted in a box in the library until April 24th.  You can nominate more than one and it can be anyone from any of the Edison buildings.  Please take the time to fill this out! 

 

 Attention all Drama Club members, please check your student email Friday or Monday for information concerning awards. It is important that you continue to check your email!

  

Prom is quickly approaching and the prom committee is looking for your song suggestions.  NO requests will be taken during the dance so it’s important that you do it now.  A box is in the library waiting for your suggestions!  Please write your ideas on paper and place it in the box on the library counter. 

 

Attention Drama Club members, please sign up on the call board to help with the Milan Community Garden Saturday, April 21.

  

Attention seniors, if you haven’t given Mrs. Brown your final senior board intentions, please stop by the library and check your name off.  The list is on the counter.
