Happy Birthday Makayla Gornek!


Today at 4:15, boys’ tennis will be at Oak Harbor.


The tennis team beat St. Mary’s on Wednesday 4-1. Winning at Singles were James Hill and Bryan Johnston. Winning at doubles were the teams of Connor Goodwin/Nick Lombardi and Nick Shupe/Lincoln Meredith. The team is now 4-1 on the season and travel to Oak Harbor later today.


The softball team dropped a 5-4 decision to PC on Wednesday. Leah Krul lead the Chargers by going 3-4 with 2 RBI. Alana Fidler one hopped the fence for an in the park homerun.  Lindsey Fortuna and Hannah Vitaz each contributed  a double with Grace Houser, Kayla Mancuso, Deana Blatnik and Morgan Scott added hits. The Lady Chargers take on Willard at home on Friday.


The JV Lady Chargers crushed Port Clinton on 4/11 with a final score of 23 to 11. On defense, Waldron led the charge from the mound. Pruitt and Shreve both made tagging plays at third. On offense, Barker led the team in runs scored with four. Other major contributors were Shreve with four RBIs, Waldon with three hits and Vitaz who scored every at bat.


The varsity baseball team beat Port Clinton 4-0.  Caden Cooper pitched a complete game 2 hitter with 6 strikeouts and no walks.  Caleb Bissell led the team with two hits.  Bissell, Austin Kuluris, and Richard Crooks each had and RBI.


The JV team improved their record to 5-1 with a 16-6 victory over Port Clinton.  Ethan Gessling had 4 hits and Justin Hosley and Casey Fair both had 3 hits.  Logan Bowen had 2 hits and drove in 4 runs.  Justin Hosley picked up the win on the mound


Attention anyone interested in trying out for cheerleading or the mascot for the 2018-2019 school year: there will be a mandatory informational parent meeting tonight at 7:00 pm in the high school cafeteria.


Tomorrow is the deadline for any senior interested in submitting a drawing for the senior awards night booklet cover.  Please turn in your artwork to Ms. Mehlow.


Are you looking for summer work close to home with the possibility of bonuses at the end of the summer? Schlessman Seed company in Milan is looking for high school students with great work ethics to work for them this summer.  A representative from Schlessman Seed will be here this Friday April 13thto meet with interested students in the Conference Room - Room 408 at 7:45 am to answer any questions and provide basic information about what the summer job will entail.


Prom is quickly approaching! Juniors and seniors can purchase tickets today during the lunch modules. EHOVE and Firelands students can purchase them throughout the day or before and after school in the office. The cost of each ticket is $35. Anyone bringing a guest from another school must have a completed dance form with them in order to purchase the ticket. There will be absolutely NO tickets sold after today.


Freshmen who have not turned in their chocolate money - we need it now.  Please turn it in ASAP to Mrs. Traut!


Prom tickets are now on sale.  By purchasing a prom ticket students are agreeing to abide by the dance regulations as listed on page 45 of the Charger Guide.  Grinding, twerking and any other sexually suggestive dance styles will not be tolerated.  Violators of dance regulations will be removed. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. The dance regulations were put in place so that all attendees may be comfortable and have fun.  Please make Prom 2018 enjoyable for all!


Attention Thespians, Voting for Drama Council will take place on line today and tomorrow. If you do not receive a ballot from Mr. Stanforth, please email him as soon as possible.  Voting will close at 2:30 on Friday.


Drama members recycling today are Meredith Holler and Megan Morley.  If you are unable to do this, see Leo some time today.


Do you have a teacher who has really inspired you - or made a difference in your life.  Now’s the time to let them know what an outstanding teacher they are!  The Milan Rotary Club is now accepting nomination for the Gold Apple Award.  Nomination forms are located in the library, write a brief paragraph about what it was that made a difference.  Entries can be submitted in a box in the library until April 24th.  You can nominate more than one and it can be anyone from any of the Edison buildings.  Please take the time to fill this out! 


There will be a brief boys basketball meeting this Fri. April 13th at 7:35 a.m. in the HS auditorium for anyone planning to play next year. If you are unable to attend the meeting please see Coach Hammond for more information.

Prom is quickly approaching and the prom committee is looking for your song suggestions.  NO requests will be taken during the dance so it’s important that you do it now.  A box is in the library waiting for your suggestions!  Please write your ideas on paper and place it in the box on the library counter. 


Attention Math Club members.  Please pay the $5.00 dues as soon as possible. Please place orders for the Math Club T-shirt which costs $12.50 in Mrs. Wally's room.
