Happy Birthday today to Sam Fairplay!


Congratulations to Casey Barnett for winning the Division III State Wrestling Championship at 106 pounds.  Casey scored a reversal with under 10 seconds to go in the finals to beat previously unbeaten Lucian Brink of Coshocton.  Also placing for the Chargers were Sam Stoll who placed 2nd, Ray Adams was 4th, and Jordan Keegan was 6th.  The team finished in 3rd place which ties the highest team placement in school history.


Congratulations to Larissa Carrasco who was State Runner-up in Program of Oral Interpretation at the State Novice Speech and Debate tournament on Saturday. Larissa's entry was based on the poetry from Federico Garcia Lorca and prose from Sandra Cisneros. Congratulations also to Shianna Harper who placed 3rd at the State Novice tournament in Oral Interpretation with her selections from Mazie Diamond and Maya Angelou on police violence.


This past weekend 4 Edison art students competed at State with their Regional Governor's Art Exhibition winning works of art.  Congratulations go out to Andrew Hogan for being a State winner with his series of 3 large silk paintings accepted in the Governor's Art Exhibition to be held at the Rhodes Office Tower in Columbus.  This show featured the best in high school art in the state of Ohio.  way to go Andrew!


ACT boot camp is tonight at 6:30 in room 401!


 All Speech and Debate members should report to the library at this time.


Attention all football players... turn your mulch orders into Coach Hall as you receive them.  Do not wait until you have sold your 40 bag goal.  Remember that the sale ends March 27th.


This is a reminder that the CCP intent forms are due by April 1st.  A list of received is posted in the library, office and Mrs. Brown’s office.  If you are taking CCP classes next school year, please make sure your name is on this list!


The Boys basketball, girls basketball and cheerleading banquet will be tomorrow night at 6:30, please dress appropriately! See your coach today if you can not be there.


Reminder to seniors that the Edison Local Scholarships are due March 21, 2018 no later than 3:15pm.  


North Force Sports is again looking for volunteers this summer to help one on one with students with disabilities for their summer camp.  If this is something you’d be interested in doing, stop by the library and pick up a volunteer information sheet on the counter!  This is a great way to get your volunteer service hours in and helping others!  


National Honor Society members, we will vote for officers before school next Thursday at 7:45.  Please report to Miss Cull's room at that time


For any Senior who has already signed to play a Sport or Cheerlead at the college level, please pick up a form outside the Athletic office so that we may celebrate your achievement in next years sports program.


All locker decorations must be removed by Tuesday after school.  Any locker decoration left after Tuesday will be thrown away.


The Edison Football Team is currently selling Mulch for a fundraiser.  The mulch is available in 3 colors and is being sold for $4 a bag.  Each purchase will also include free home delivery by the football players.  The deadline for orders is Tuesday March 27th and delivery will be on Sunday May 6th.


Congratulations to the Edison Drama Club on a fantastic show this weekend with Alice in Wonderland!  Hats off to cast and crew for bringing to life these memorable characters and delivering an incredible performance! Cast and crew will strike the set today at 3.


The world language department would like to thank all those who participated in Foreign language week!  We want to wish everyone the best this week on the National French and Spanish exams!  French and Spanish club members are invited to top the week off with a fiesta on Thursday to celebrate Foreign language week and the end of the National Contests.  Watch for information postings in the French and Spanish classrooms.  Bon courage!


Also, any student interested in studying Chinese or Russian in conjunction with a program through Kent State should stop in and see Madame Parker in room 503 for more information.


All wrestlers should meet Coach Hermes on the balcony at 3:00 on Thursday to turn in all equipment.  Please make sure everything is clean and accounted for.  Any missing items will need to be paid for.

A reminder for Speech and Debate competitors that the awards banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 20th.


Next Tuesday is the ACT test date for all Juniors. Juniors will report directly to the gym for breakfast and attendance.  All seniors will be participating in their alternative education day selections.


Health Professionals to Be is having a CCF Worldwide classroom event tomorrow at 9:00am.  Students will have the opportunity to learn more about a career as a Rehabilitation Technician.
