Today is Pearl Harbor Day.

December 7, 1941 will forever be known as "a date which will live in infamy," per Franklin D. Roosevelt's infamous address to Congress about the Empire of Japan who suddenly and deliberately attacked the United States of America. This attack killed 2,402 and wounded 1,282 servicemen and civilians and caused America to enter World War II.

Today at 4:00, boys and girls bowling teams will be at Port Clinton. At 5;30, freshmen girls’ basketball will be at home with Margaretta.

Congratulations to the Charger Wrestling team for an impressive 40-29 win over Division I Fremont Ross. Winning matches for the Chargers were Jakey Neer, Casey Barnett, Ray Adams, Dylan Burns, Collin Mancuso, Jacob Brewer, Sam Stoll, and Tim Straka.

A friendly message from the cafeteria elves: "If you do not start bringing in lunch money...we are telling Santa, and you will immediately be placed on the Naughty List!"

Good Luck to the Firelands Challenge team as they play against Perkins and New London in Round 4 of the competition.

The Firelands Challenge team members are excused at 11:15 to eat lunch before leaving. Team members should report to the computer lab in room 306 at 11:15 to eat lunch before the bus leaves at 11:50.

Attention Student Athlete Leadership Team: We will meet today during 3rd period. If you have any questions please see Mr. Jeffrey.

Come join Edison track and Football Alumni, Josh Lambert, this Saturday morning, December 9 @ 9 am for a free, live, group workout in the Field House! This workout, based on Beachbody's famous INSANITY program, is suitable for all fitness levels but will push you to your mental and physical limits! Bring a friend, bring a teammate, bring a Coach, but most of all, bring a towel and your water; you're going to need them. Remember the fieldhouse will be around 60 degrees in the winter so dress accordingly for the workout. Think you got what it takes to dominate this workout? Show up and let's see what you're made of. The workout will begin promptly at 9 am so arrive 15 min early to ensure a smooth start!" See you this Saturday at 9:00!

The Varsity boys’ basketball team will be playing Clyde at Quicken Loans Arena at 2:30pm Monday, January 15th. There is no admission cost for the high school game. As part of this event Edison High School is selling tickets to the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors game at 8pm that evening. Tickets are $103 each. If interested in tickets, contact Mr. Jeffrey or Coach Hammond.
