Happy Birthday to Sarah Bursley, Madison Polak, Grant Ott and Noah Staley!


Tonight at 5:00 volleyball will be at home with Oak Harbor.  On Friday at 7:00, Charger football will be at Oak Harbor. On Saturday at 1:30, cross country will be in Tiffin for SBC, at 10:00, varsity girls’ soccer will be at Huron. Also at 10:00 JV football will be at home with Oak Harbor. At noon, JV and varsity volleyball will be at home with St. Paul, and at 6:30 Saturday night, Edison will host 17 bands at the Annual Edison Band Review.


The boys’ varsity Soccer team tied Huron last night 0-0. Austin Hancock has now tied the school record for career shutouts, congratulations Austin.  Congratulations to the boys soccer team on bringing home their first ever SBC championship last night.


The JV boys’ soccer team lost to Ontario 4-2.


The Edison Girls Soccer team lost a hard fought battle to Upper Sandusky 2 to 1 on Wednesday night. The Lady Chargers lone goal was scored by Savanna Smith with the assist coming from Brooke Yates. The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Saturday with the final regular season away game of the year against Huron.


It’s that time!  It’s Socktober! TLC is hosting Socktober homeroom competition!  Boxes are placed in each homeroom to collect socks now through October 20th!  Each day we will announce a total for the top 5 homerooms.  At the end of the competition, the homeroom with the most pairs of socks will receive donuts!  Good luck Edison high school! 


The field trip forms for the sophomore EHOVE visit must be turned into the office by 3pm on Monday.


Attention Lady Charger Basketball Players:  Friday, October 27th is our First Practice! Make sure you have a current physical on file and the appropriate paper work in the athletic office before the first day of practice. See Coach Moyer if you have any questions.


A reminder to all Speech and Debate competitors: Today is the last day you can register for the Edison and the Findlay debate tournaments in November.  Make sure you sign up in the Response Lounge.  Public Forum debaters will meet next Thursday to go over the evidence and cases on the November topic of gun control and universal background checks. Policy debaters meet after school today in Room 408.


Picture Retake Day at Edison High School is next Tuesday, October 17th.  Students who were not present for picture day in September must get their picture taken even if you are not making a purchase.  If you are making a purchase, please stop by the office for an order form.  Students who wish to get retakes need to take their complete original picture packet to the photographer on that day.  


The athletic office is selling pink towels to be waved at the breast cancer awareness football game on October 27th.  These towels will also be available at the Middle School for the students to purchase during their lunch modules. The cost is $3 per towel.  We are also selling pink Charging Towards the Cure t-shirts for that pink out game.  Order forms for the t-shirts can be found in the library and outside of the athletic office. All proceeds will be going to Edison School District families who have lost loved ones to their battle with cancer. 


The winners of the backyard games competition in Physical Education include the following teams: 2nd Period: The Batton Turf Nuggets (Halle Patton and Hunter Barylski.  3rd Period: Team Spell (Deana Blatnik and Mallory Perkins).  4th Period: The Albino Alligators (Ian Janssen and Byren Mutchler)


A reminder for all Speech and Debate competitors- the deadline to register for the November debates is fast approaching.  Make sure your sign up to compete in the Response Lounge as soon as possible.  Public Forum debaters will receive their materials and cases on gun control a week from today, Thursday, October 19th in room 408.  Make sure to attend that meeting if you plan to debate the November topic or plan to compete in public forum debate this year.
