Happy Birthday to Kaylee Ries!

 

At 5:00, tonight, varsity girls’ soccer will be at Upper Sandusky and varsity boys' soccer will be at Huron. At 6:30, ACT Boot Camp will be at Edison.

 

The varsity volleyball team dropped a 3 set match to Willard 25-18, 25-21, 25-21.  Kami Neuberger had 15 assists and 4 digs, Jessica Stoll had 7 kills, and Hannah Vitaz had 5 kills.  Melissa Kuhl had 3 blocks, Macy Stower served 5 points, and Jordyn Mitnik had 8 digs. The JV volleyball team lost to Willard 25-21, 25-10.  Molly Houser led the team with 3 points.

 

The Edison Writing Center is open during all lunch periods today.  If you need help with a writing assignment, bring your lunch and your essay to Room 201 today.

 

Edison Teen Leadership Corps will again be collecting socks from October 12 through October 20th.  Boxes have been place around town, and other schools.  Our goal is to collect 4000 pairs of socks.  All of the socks will then be donated to the Boys and Girls Club, Care and Share and the Miriam House in Norwalk. Help TLC sock it to poverty!

 

Attention Lady Charger Basketball Players: There will be another open gym shooting Thursday morning in the high school gym from 6:45-7:15am. See Coach Moyer if you have any questions.

 

Attention juniors who were selected to join National Honor Society.  Don't forget you have a meeting today after school in Miss Cull's room.  The meeting should last no more than 15 min.  If you cannot attend or are not interested in joining National Honor Society you MUST see Miss Cull before the meeting.

 

Set, Light, and Sound crew for SEEK.  We will work today after school and next week on Monday and Wednesday after school.  Please check the call board for times and additional dates.

 

It’s that time!  It’s Socktober! TLC will be hosting Socktober homeroom competition!  Boxes will be placed in each homeroom to collect socks beginning tomorrow through October 20th!  Each day we will announce a total for the top 5 homerooms.  At the end of the competition, the homeroom with the most pairs of socks will receive donuts!  Good luck Edison High School! 

 

The boys’ varsity soccer team will play at Huron tonight at 5PM. They will be going after their first ever SBC title with a win. We encourage everyone to come out to Huron and support the boys as they chase their first league title.

 

A representative from Capital University will be here over the lunch periods.

 

The field trip forms for the sophomore EHOVE visit must be turned into the office by 3pm on Monday.

 

Attention Lady Charger Basketball Players:  Friday, October 27th is our First Practice! Make sure you have a current physical on file and the appropriate paper work in the athletic office before the first day of practice. See Coach Moyer if you have any questions.

 

A reminder to all Speech and Debate competitors: Tomorrow is the last day you can register for the Edison and the Findlay debate tournaments in November.  Make sure you sign up in the Response Lounge.  Public Forum debaters will meet next Thursday to go over the evidence and cases on the November topic of gun control and universal background checks. Policy debaters meet after school today in Room 408.

 

Picture Retake Day at Edison High School is next Tuesday, October 17th.  Students who were not present for picture day in September must get their picture taken even if you are not making a purchase.  If you are making a purchase, please stop by the office for an order form.  Students who wish to get retakes need to take their complete original picture packet to the photographer on that day.
