Happy Birthday to Riley Rospert!

 

At 4:15, girls’ tennis will be at home with Oak Harbor. At 5:00, varsity boys’ soccer will be at Clyde.

At 6:30, ACT bootcamp here at Edison, and at 7, varsity girls’ soccer is at Clyde.

 

The boys JV soccer team lost 3-0 to Lake on Saturday night. They look to bounce back in their season finale on Tuesday.

 

The boys and girls cross country teams were very successful this past weekend at the Dan Olien Cross Country Invitational at New London High School. Both the boys and the girls’ teams won championships in their respective races and also had the individual race champions. The boys beat state ranked New London by a score of 22 to 51 and were led by Daniel Lambert’s overall first place finish.  Following Daniel across the finish line was Ty Coon in second, Gavin Schaeffer 5th, Jon Hrivnak 6th and Brandon Romell 8th. The girls easily defeated runner-up Canal Fulton Northwest by a score of 32 to 44. Leading the way for the girls was freshman Abby Lesniak who was the overall champion. Also scoring for the girls was Carlie Shover in third, Isabel Chasney 6th, Grace Kromer 8th and Aliyah Caporini 14th. The teams next meet is Saturday October 14th in Tiffin where both the boys and the girls will be defending there SBC championships.

 

Jacob A. Barnett, Kassidy Burdue and Gabe Mina Vazquez please report to the office to see Mr. Goodwin.

 

Happy Columbus Day!  Columbus Day is a U.S. holiday that commemorates the landing of Christopher Columbus in the Americas on October 12, 1492. By the way, Columbus Day is a National holiday – so banks are closed and there is no mail today. 

 

Picture Retake Day at Edison High School is next Tuesday, October 17th.  Students who were not present for picture day in September must get their picture taken, even if you are not making a purchase.  If you are making a purchase, please stop by the office for an order form.  Students who wish to get retakes need to take their complete original picture packet to the photographer on that day. 

 

Attention juniors and seniors: We have added a few spots to the BGSU main campus visit on October 17th.  As of last night, seven spots remain. Completed paperwork and lunch fee must be turned into the office.

 

The Sophomore Class is selling T-shirts for their class fundraiser.  Please turn in order forms to Ms. Baun today!

 

Anyone interested in signing up for Chargerettes, please sign up in the athletic office by Friday, October 20th.

 

French Club:  Reminder that t-shirt orders are due today!

 

There will be a brief meeting Tuesday at 2:50 in the cafeteria for all students interested in wrestling this year. Coach Hermes will have info for the upcoming season

 

Attention Lady Charger Basketball Players:  In less than 3 Weeks from Today is our First Practice! Make sure you have a physical on file and the appropriate paper work in the athletic office before the first day of practice. 

 

ASVAB scores are back.  Please see Mrs. Brown to get a copy of your results.

 

Attention Seek Sound Crew! Please attend Tuesday’s rehearsal, if possible.   Shawn Daily, and Edison graduate and musician who has his own recording studio, will be here to give us some help with the sound side of the show.  Please plan to stay until 5:00

 

Attention juniors who were selected to join National Honor Society.  Don't forget you have a meeting THIS Wednesday, October 11 afterschool in Miss Cull's room.  The meeting should last no more than 15 min.  If you cannot attend or are not interested in joining National Honor Society you MUST see Miss Cull before the meeting.
